A Salon Chest of Drawers, - Furniture and Decorative Art

France, Louis XVI period, c. 1780, solid oak structure, with amaranth and rosewood veneer, decorated with marquetry panels and ornamental motifs of diverse partly dyed precious woods, polished finish, rounded lesenes, 3 drawers, of which the bottom 2 "sans traverse", central avant-corps, moulded marble top, partly supplemented gilt bronze mounts, 85.5 x 129 x 62.5 cm, in restored condition, small cracks to the side.
