1980 Tomaszo Mark II (no reserve)

1980 Tomaszo Mark II (no reserve) - Classic Cars

Austrian car with a cult following and a VW basis; just 3 previous owners!

Wilhelm Tomaszovits founded his company Tomaszo in Achau back in 1977, where he started to build automobiles with fibre-reinforced bodies. He always based them on a major series product, which he combined with his own fibreglass body work. The underlying idea was to create a vehicle with a classic look but the ease-of-use of an everyday car in terms of handling, service and costs.

This Tomaszo resembles the 1952 MG TD, with the body mounted on a VW Beetle chassis. The convertible has sufficient space, even for a generous boot at the front. It also has an easily operable roof with side windows. This Mk II was first registered in Vienna on 2 July 1980. Special features like broad alloy rims, a clarion horn and plaque holders at the front are typical features of these individual vehicles. The Tomaszo changed hands in 1985, and the consigner registered the car right at the start of the summer, in May 1988. He fitted the convertible with a sporty dashboard with numerous instruments, type VDO Classic with gold trimming, and a wooden steering wheel. The Tomaszo has since become a real vintage automobile. The idea behind the project is still up-to-date, and a fun driving experience is guaranteed. Ready to go immediately thanks to recent servicing!
