2 parts, “Augustus the Strong” sitting on the front of the base, holding a porcelain vase in his right hand and looking at the fired piece in conversation with Böttger, who is kneeling at the side of the fireplace with bellows, at his feet a ladle and tongs, at the king’s feet a gold vessel with gold mortar and a small laurel tree; on the right side “The Modelling”: a small genius sitting and modelling a jug with a burin, on the tripod compasses and a burin, with the bust of Prince Louis Charles de Bourbon, Duc de Bourgogne 1751-1761, on top; on the left side “The Painting”: a small genius sitting with his knee drawn up, painting a plate with purple flowers, the left leg resting on a book, on the left his colour palette, on the right a large handled vase painted with cobalt blue floral motifs, in the foreground a porcelain picture with Albrechtsburg Castle in Meissen, further a colour vessel with cover as well as vessels with communicating tubes, at the back a large laurel tree with fruits, finial with clouds, with a genius on top, raising the white cloth with gold stars, at the side a kneeling putto with raised laurel wreath and flower garland, on the right a floating putto with a garland of flowers and a gold trumpet praising porcelain making, base with large gold-heightened leaf rocailles and gilt edging, height 45 cm, width 32 cm, depth 19 cm, restored areas, Meissen, underglaze blue crossed swords mark c. 1890, model O 168, former no. 220, model by Paul Helmig 1889-1890 (Ru)
