“Therese Krones Haus - Hohe Warte” [Therese Krone’s House - Hohe Warte], woodcut on thick Japanese paper, signed Carl Moll and titled, sheet-sized image 41.9 x 41.6 cm, framed, on the reverse of the frame a label: ‘Internationale Kunstausstellung Rom 1911, 309’, occasional small brown stains, traces of humidity to the upper sheet edge, small tear, irregularly trimmed, (EW)

Exhibition:
International Art Exhibition, Rome, 1911, Austrian Pavilion. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Kingdom of Italy, an international art exhibition was held in Rome in 1911. The Austrian pavilion was erected according to the plans by architect Josef Hoffmann. The furnishings and ‘the decorative principles concerning the arrangement of the works of art’ were also due to Hoffmann. The exhibition included works by Gustav Klimt, Ludwig Heinrich Jungnickel, Ferdinand Andri, Albin Egger-Lienz and Carl Moll, among others.
