in Louis XVI style, France, second half of the 19th century, bronze shafts, ornamental and figural decoration in the form of boys warming their hands at the fire, gilded, 30 x 36 x 13 cm, beautiful cleaned original condition (MIN)

The original 18th-century model was executed by Jean François Turpin in around 1785 after drawings by Jean François Forty. An identical model is preserved in the Fireplace Room of the Elysée Palace.
