wristwatch, stainless steel, self-winding, lever movement numbered 51432, black dial, dot, baton and dagger numerals, central second, case numbered 951943, reference 6202, c. 1954, diameter c. 36 mm, folding fastening, 77.1 g, partly stained, scuffed. In 1953, the reference 6202 was presented at the Basel Fair for the first time. This series was often promoted by Rolex as a simple tool to measure the duration of a phone call or the speed of a train. For this purpose, the movable bezel had to be set to the desired measuring range. At the end of the 1950s, the Turn-O-Graph became known under the model name Thunderbird, because the US Air Force equipped its acrobatic group of the same name with this watch.
