A table lamp, Tiffany Studios, New York, c. 1900/10 - Jugendstil and 20th Century Arts and Crafts

wired for single light; bronze foot: no. 481; dark patinated bronze; top in blossom shape, underneath stem-like design with claw feet on stepped cross-shaped stand; blossom-shaped lampshade; yellowish-opal underlaid glass, the exterior with pale green and large silver-yellow threads and all-round feather motifs pointing upwards; iridescence; lampshade on the underside very slightly chipped (not visible in the lamp socket); lampshade with needle-etched inscription L. C. T.; lamp base on the underside with impressed factory mark Tiffany Studios New York; traces of use, electrical fittings require professional servicing; total height: 43.8 cm. (MP)
