Turkey, c. 500 x 413 cm, about 1900. Fashionable carpets for the western market were produced in the workshops of West Anatolia at the turn of the century. The Austro-Hungarian Monarchy was also a major client of these carpet productions. Today their products are in demand again, but are rarely found in private ownership.
