c. 1955, for Deutsche Federholzgesellschaft, Kassel, stackable construction of steam-bent solid ash frames on on four legs, varnished, upholstered and covered with contemporary textile fabric, each height approx. 80 cm, depth approx. 50 cm, width approx. 49 cm, height of seat approx. 45 cm. (MHA)

The backrests are flexible thanks to the special shape of the frame. The architect Paul Bode was the younger brother of Arnold Bode, the later founder of documenta.
