“The stool is hidden away in the bottom drawer of design, and yet it ranks high among items of everyday use. Sitting, filing, hoarding, thinking, extending one’s reach. Squatting has been an issue since we started walking upright, and if the chair is too high, the stool is usually just fine. As a fixed component of everyday life, the stool is part of the action, wanders in houses, apartments and cottages through all the rooms, into all the corners, out into the garden or onto the terrace, down into the cellar, up into the attic and into ‘the good designer room’. The stool is the most patient of housemates, accepts everyone willingly, refuses no reading or object, is flexible and always ready to find itself in a new identity and begin a new existence” (PRINZpod, 2015)

PRINZpod have been working as a duo in overlapping media of art since 1984. Their decade-long joint activity spans concept art, art in public space, installation, photography, film, design and architecture. Both classical design and individual objects from the point of view of connex design play an essential role in their work.
