An early handle weight set
from 1615, consisting of four matching pieces, the three largest "dotted" (*, ***, *****), brass, for 1/2, 1, 3, and 5 pounds, first calibrated in 1726, 1615, 1595 (or 1695), and 1657, the two largest calibrated with Austrian shield, master’s mark, and Stockerau city mark or MEG (Marchegg?). Weight c. 280 g, 560 g, 1675 g and 2800 g. Height with handles in vertical position c. 7.3, 7.8, 11.6 and 13.2 cm.

Collection of Dr. Gerhard Eiselmayr No. 584, acquired in the Viennese antique market in 1997.
