A Viennese trade weight box by G. Huck & Clima - The Dr. Eiselmayr scales & weights collection

Vienna c. 1825, finely engraved on the lid on an oval brass plate "Wiener / HANDLUNGS GEWICHT / von 1 Pfund bis 1/100 Gran / des / Gregor Huck & Clima." with 11 conical brass knob weights with engraved measurements in Loth and Gran 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 (additionally once as blank) Loth, 10 square silver grain plates (with engraved measurement of 10-1 and 10 plates with curved top edge marked 50-1, in wooden box with precious wood veneering. Size c. 22.5 x 12.5 x 7.2 cm. Gregor Huck & Klima is mentioned in 1824 as “a machine factory where all ... objects (i.e. physical and chemical devices and tools) are manufactured” in Stephan v. Keess. G. Huck also manufactured also mineralogical tools including goniometers.
