Ducat scales from Nuremberg,
1738, master's mark CM8 (Christoph Mangold, Lockner No. 1231) on weighing pan, calibrated for Austria with C in the shield (Emperor Charles VI reigned 1711-1740), embossed ducat figure on weighing pan and wooden box, the scales made of iron with AS bow, the box also with owner's engraving "IRB 1771" and copperplate engraving in the lid "Ein Wäglein ohne Gewicht ein Ducaten zu wägen aüf den Bogen sind die Esse abgetheilet 1 bisiss 6 64 Esse wägen 1 Ducaten.". Size c. 12.8 x 5.8 x 1.8 cm.
