Gerhard Hruby was an esteemed stage designer of the 1950ies until the 1970s and worked for small stages,- so-called Kellertheater –, such as Theater die Tribüne, Theater Akzent, Theater am Parkring. He worked together with popular actors and directors such as Birgit Hutter, Peter Weihs, Helmut Qualtinger and Otto Schenk.
