A journey from woodcuts around 1900 to contemporary screenprints.

“Art for All” – with this title Albertina Vienna currently hosts an exhibition of woodcuts in Vienna around 1900. It illustrates to what extent woodcuts and the Viennese artists who devoted themselves to this technique influenced the pictorial language of other artists’ groups at the beginning of the 20th century.

Some of the protagonists of the Viennese woodcut also feature in the current auction, such as, among others, Norbertine Bresslern-Roth, Carl Moll, Broncia Koller-Pinell and Franz von Zülow. Collectors with a special focus on contemporary art have the chance to purchase works by Arnulf Rainer, Gottfried Kumpf and Kiki Kogelnik. Among the contemporary artists represented are also many international names such as Andy Warhol, Karel Appel and Gottfried Helnwein.
