Old Master Paintings | October 2016 | Retrospect

The old master paintings autcion at Dorotheum on October 18, 2016, was one of Dorotheum's best to date. A high point of the auction was the sale of a newly discovered work by Tintoretto that garnered €907,500. The auction also featured Antonio Joli and workshop’s ‘The Bacino di San Marco, Venice’ and ‘Piazza Navona, Rome’, Jusepe De Ribera’s ‘Saint Jerome’, the Netherlandish School’s ‘The Holy Family with a Parrot’ and a follower of Hieronymus Bosch’s  ‘Hell’.
