(Vienna, 1925 - 2002) - a dress with shawl, black fabric, spaghetti straps, seven rows of silk fringes, zip at back with eyelet fastener, shawl made of black floral cotton net lace with silk fringes, length of dress without straps 88 cm, simple waist 55 cm, (HS)
According to legend, this dress was a present from Ella Fitzgerald to the Austrian singe Ernie Bieler. Ella Fitzgerald was commissioned to the Eden Bar in 1952-1954. Ernie Bieler's husband Julian Koch was commissioned as percussionist and musician at the same bar for all national and international artists. Ernie Bieler was a popular music ('Schlager') singer and actress who also occasionally appeared at the Eden Bar.
