French salon chest of drawers,
In Louis XVI style, made in the late 19th century. Made in oak with tulipwood and mahogany veneer, richly decorated with marquetry ornament, flowers and depictions of musical instruments in various fine woods, some exotic woods, also with finely chased gilt bronze mounts, 3 drawers and a moulded Breche de Medous marble top. The piece is stamped on the back JANSEN (Jean-Henri Jansen, founder of the house of Jansen). 88.5 x 103x 43.5 cm. With 1 key. Professionally restored condition. (MIN)
Footnote: The house of Jansen ran from 1880 until 1989 and was involved in the refurbishment of the White House in 1962.
