Ink, colours and gilt on paper. To recto, painted image of a poppy with flower bud, bee and butterfly on a gilt ground, encompassed by a blue decorative band with white crosses, the outer border ornamented with painted tendrils in fine gilt work. Signed in red to left edge of picture (unread). Verso, text in Nastaliq, set off with finely painted borders, encompassed with same decorative band as recto. Traces of wear to painting and text cartouche. Margins damaged. Framed between glass. Image: 15.7 x 6.5 cm; sheet: 20.5 x 12.3 cm. (BA)
