- this Peka made by Peter Serier of the Peperkamp bicycle shop in Amsterdam is a fine late example
- the model number is 0222E38BDR59
- sustain speeds of up to 100 kilometres (62 miles) per hour
- has a 66-tooth front chain ring
- high gearing meant the rider could not 'self-start'
- the 24-inch front wheel, very rigid frame and backward curving fork were all designed to stay close to the pacemaker
- its disc wheels were easily affected by turbulent buffeting
