1983 Porsche 911 SC Cabriolet

1983 Porsche 911 SC Cabriolet - Autoveicoli d'epoca

A rare SC Cabriolet with probably an original 91,000 km! Matching numbers! From January 1983, Porsche offered a Cabrio version of the SC. Initially, there was a choice of Grand Prix White or Guards Red, each with a colour-coded interior. Over the years, a full range of colours was available. Demand was huge, far greater than the Stuttgart manufacturer had anticipated. The SC was replaced by the Carrera 3.2 as early as model year 1984, meaning that an SC Cabrio is a rare example of just 4,097 units. This 911 SC Cabriolet was delivered to Trieste on 3 March 1983. According to the log book, its first owner was the local Porsche dealer. This also shows the original engine number, which proves that this still powers the car - in other words, the numbers match. By late 1988, the Porsche had only driven 37,000 km, which makes the mileage of almost 91,000 currently displayed on the six-digit tacho seem absolutely credible, despite the lack of further service stamps. This also underlines the Cabriolet's excellent all-round condition, with both an impressive interior and exterior! The Consignor purchased the 911 in Italy, intending it to be a summer vehicle for their second home on the other side of the Brenner Pass. But because their better half prefers driving a Targa, a new owner can now enjoy this early, rare 911 Cabriolet!
