The porcelain manufactory of Prince Nikolas Yussupoff operated in Archangelskoje between 1814-1831; it purchased unpainted porcelain items from the Sevres Manufactory in France, and painted them at the Archangelskoje factory. The present plate belongs to the series "Views of Grusino Village", which was considered to be among Russia's most beautiful estates located by the River Wolchowo near Novgorod. It's owner, Count Arakcheev, lived there until his death.
