A late Gothic Swiss pine coffer with “Frontstollen” construction, with relief-carving, a richly panelled front, carving in the Gothic style, dated, as far as can be established, to the 19th century, with original 15th century iron mounts, a hinged lid and wrought iron band. Ca. 80 x 183 x 52 cm, wood parts replaced, in cleaned condition with some age-related wear. (DOC)
