France, Transition period, circa 1770. Made in oak and softwood with tulipwood veneer and marquetry panels and cube patterning in partly dyed fine woods, with 2 drawers, a moulded marble top and bronze mounts with later gilding. Ca. 80.5 x 106 x 48 cm. In restored condition, with small veneer parts replaced. (MIN)
