“Die Seuche der Pestilenz” [The Plague of Pestilence], 7 etchings on thick wove paper, complete portfolio, each etching signed ‘Eggeler’, no. 50 from the edition of 100 impressions numbered in the printer’s mark, sheet size c. 38.3 x 33.2 cm, published by Frisch & Co/Vienna, with a double sheet title, printer’s mark and index in original half-linen folder with paste paper covers, sheets partly dusty on the reverse, portfolio slightly bumped and with glued auction label, (7) (RAC)
This portfolio was awarded the Dumba Prize at the 1919 spring exhibition in Vienna’s Künstlerhaus.
