South Turkestan, c. 45 x 165 cm, second half of the 19th century, coarsely knotted hanging with an imposing gul featuring kotchanak motifs in the central rectangle, lateral tree motifs and shield-like forms, with so-called “sari gira” border; in good pile with original finishes and preserved remains of long ornamental fringes.
