Diana and Chronos, on the rocaille base, Diana seated with quiver strapped to her back and gilt bow in the right hand, holding the clock case with both hands, framed by small polychrome flowers on leafy branches and crowned with light turquoise leaf rocailles, below Chronos with spread wings, the base with narrow and wide gilt edging, the facing side with a polychrome painted Watteau couple in a park landscape, in the foreground Diana's hound and a child stroking the dog, 4 volute feet gold, heightened with light purple and light turquoise, elaborately encrusted with flowers, the side and back decorated with polychrome painted scatter of flowers and floral bouquets, the clock with white dial, gilt Roman numerals and hands, the reverse side with closed casing door, height: 40 cm, width: 22 cm, minor chips, movement has not been inspected, 1 key included; Meissen, underglaze blue crossed swords, 2nd half 19th cent., model no. 385, former no. 90, painter no. 20, model by Johann Joachim Kändler 1742 (Ru)
