depicting the female dancer Ruth Saint Denis (Ruth Dennis, called “Miss Ruth”) in her “Radha” dance (dance of the five senses); light-bodied ceramic, with polychrome glazes; professionally restored, slightly chipped under the dress, round base with firing crack; on the reverse impressed model number 4495, number 42 and 11, the underside with stamped company signet (GS 19b), incised K and painted XI, B and S; height 50 cm.
