The assassination in Sarajevo (28 June 1914) - trial records and verdict, - Casa Imperiale e oggetti d'epoca

"Translation of the records of the criminal trial of the Sarajevo District Court against Gavrilo Princip and comrades for the crime of murder and high treason", 503 typewritten pages, bound, flyleaf with handwritten inscription: "Erhalten von Baron(?) Dr. Strihl(?) Wien 1926", (Lu)

Extemely interesting files of the Sarajevo trial, probably from the estate of a participating official or lawyer. The files begin with the minutes of the interrogation that took place on 28 June 1914 and show the entire course of the trial, with interrogations and statements, until the court’s verdict on 28 October 1914. The verdict was written in “Bosnian” language, in both Latin and Cyrillic characters, and is available in several certified translations. Two of them are now preserved in the War Archive in Vienna. The present translation of the court reflects the entire course of the trial in all its details, and is therefore of the greatest historical interest.
