An Art Nouveau confectionery vending machine, “Kosmos” vending machine factory, Joseph Oberländer, Fürth i. B., 1905 - Jugendstil e arte applicata del XX secolo

cast iron, metal; the upper section with five inserted marbled glass panes in violet, blue and green; above the four insertion slits black and white enamelled signs: ‘vanilla/chocolate’, ‘surprise packets’, ‘roasted almonds’ and ‘dessert sticks’; facetted glass windows, the lower part with four handles for pulling out the sweets; the lower section with door and profile views of a lady and a gentleman; decorated with rose ornaments in relief in different sizes on the front and on the sides; base with four feet, also with rose ornaments; key missing; largely in original condition; corroded, signs of age and use; mechanism not tested; height 186 cm, depth 32 cm, width 52 cm. A comparable confectionery and chocolate vending machine is preserved in the collection of the Düren City Museum.
