Italy, late 15th century, terracotta relief, later polychrome painted and gilt, 45.5 x 66 cm, slight warped, some age-related damage as well as paint damage, (MC)
A copy of a thermoluminescence report is available. The design for this relief by Benedetto da Maiano was probably executed in around 1485/90, and was produced several times in stucco by his workshop. A terracotta version with slight variations is preserved at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
