MAGNELLI
Magnelli’s true masters, if not his only masters, were Giotto, Paolo Uccello, Andrea del Castagno, Masaccio and, above all, Piero della Francesca, from whom he learned “the great game of empty and full spaces”, to the point of creating his own ideal space: massive and closed like a wall to be frescoed.
