A Sheep-Shaped Trick Goblet, - Antiquariato - Parte 1

of Alpine origin, 18th century, clear glass with greenish hue, ribbed body, attached finely turned tail with applied tassel, attached head with applied ears, opening at the end of the snout, applied feet, length 25 cm, on the belly inv. no. oNr/4.547 (= ÖMV/45.274) and old adhesive label with no. 43, (MC)

Provenance:
Collection of Albert Pollak (1878-1943), Vienna;
May 1938: confiscation of his collection by the GESTAPO, Vienna;
from March 1940 onwards: distribution of numerous objects to various museums by the Central Office for the Protection of Monuments;
November 1941: acquisition of 14 glass objects by the Museum of Folklore, Vienna;
July 1948: restitution notice to the heirs of Albert Pollak;
December 1950: delivery of the 14 glass objects to the heirs of Albert Pollak;
1951: involuntary consignment of six glass objects (export ban) to the Museum of Folklore, Vienna, by the heirs of Albert Pollak (inv. no. ÖMV/47879-ÖMV/47884);
September 2020: restitution of the objects to the heirs of Albert Pollak.
