Cunz, titled and inscribed ‘Handdruck’ [block print], monogrammed in the block and dated, block size 20.7 x 24.8 cm, sheet size 24.6 x 30.8/31.7 cm, Studer 24, margin slightly browned, upper edge with slight thinning due to removed mounting, (RAC)
Cunz learned the coloured woodcut technique from Ernst Neumann, whose ‘School of Modern Graphic Arts’ in Munich (founded together with Heinrich Wolff ) Cunz visited in 1901.
