NAOKI TAKIZAWA, born in Tokyo in 1960: one year after graduating from Kuwasawa Design School in 1981 he obtained his first job at Issey Miyake. In 1993 he was responsible for the men’s line, from 1999 onwards he was chief designer of the entire Issey Miyake collection. In 1999 he received the New York Dance and Performance Award for the costume design of William Forsythe’s Frankfurt Ballet.
