The thermal bathing beach in Baden was built in only eighty days between the beginning of April and mid-July 1926 after plans by the master builder Alois Bohn (1878–1937). The main building measured 160,8 m in length and was thus the second largest building in Baden; it was surpassed only by nearby Weilburg castle, whose length of the façade measured 192 meters. “Water is supplied from the well, while the heating of the water is provided according to the need of sulphuric water from the Marienquelle spring. The constant water influx will be 50 liters per second. The beach is supposed to accommodate two thousand people. Cabins and changing rooms including checkrooms will be built for one thousand bathers each. In addition, it is planned to build an elegantly furnished restaurant with large terraces on the ground and first floors, however with excessive luxury being avoided. For this purpose, the existing Bylandt-Rheidt mansion will be included in the premises which will be adapted accordingly.” Cit. Das neue Strandbad. In: Badener Zeitung, 9th June 1926, p. 3.
