“He loved Berlin, for him its air was like champagne. It was here that his “Self Portrait”, the most famous of his works, was executed in 1927. The serigraphy is classed as one of his graphic works. In terms of print making it is a masterwork, and unrepeatable today. There is no longer the film material, the printer. All history.”
