silver, some enamelling, wooden back and interior, of rectangular form, the body with moulded military symbols, incl. a helmet of the Arcieren Life Guard, the hinged lid with applied enamel lettering "EALG" (1. Arcierenleibgarde), surmounted by the imperial Austrian crown, bearing the engraved inscribed dedication, 2 hinged lid, 32, 5 x 23 x 15 cm, maker's mark J. C. KLINKOSCH, Vienna Diana hallmark 1872-1922, (Lu)
A cassette of excellent workmanship by court purveyors J. C. Klinkosch. The engraved dedication reads: "Die k. k. Erste Arcieren-Leibgarde ihrem hochverehrten Herrn Kapitän seiner Excellenz General der Infanterie Friedrich Graf Beck/zum vollendeten 80. Lebensjahre 1830-21. März 1910". Friedrich Graf von Beck-Rzikowsky (1830-1920), Colonel General and 1881-1906 Chief of Staff of the Austro-Hungarian Army working closely with Emperor Franz Joseph I.
