manufactured by Nordiska Kompaniet, Denmark, late 1930s, natural pine, lambskin covered seat cushions, height 76 cm, width 70 cm, depth 51 cm, height of seat 48 cm. (DRAX)
The “Berga” models first appeared in the NK factory catalogue in 1938, the year when Axel Einar Hjorth quit is job as the company’s senior designer. Stylistically, the settee is close to Hjorth’s gym furniture from 1929–1932.
