A “Split Table”, designed by Ron Arad,
1989, manufactured by Poltronova, Italy, walnut, brushed steel, rubber, factory brand: R. Arad/poltronova, height 74.5 cm, width 88 cm, length 155 – 280 cm. (DRAX)
First presented at the exhibition “Abitare – Il Tempo” in Verona in 1990. They produced only some 15 pieces altogether of this model, which was exclusively made upon request.
When extended, the table is supported on six legs. When the table is made smaller, two pairs of legs slide into each other, while the slats of the top interlock in a similar manner.
The “Split Table” was designed to accompany the “Split Chairs”.
