Saddle Blanket,
Tibet, c. 64 x 140 cm, early 20th century, this knotted blanket with two floral disc medallions used to be placed under the horse saddle, there are four leather-lined cut-outs for the saddle straps, extended in the middle with felt fabric and trimmed all around with regional fabric, very good colour condition and overall state of preservation with deep pile wool, entirely mounted on linen.
