Other more elaborate portraits of this couple were for a long time in the collection of the descendants of the current owners. These larger portraits were exhibited in 1914 in Darmstadt, at the Jahrhundertausstellung Deutscher Kunst 1650–1800, (as by Friedrich Oelenhainz, 1745–1804).
