Other versions of these compositions are in the Städel Museum, Frankfurt/Main. The sitters can be possibly identified with Katharina Elisabeth von Schönborn (1652–1707), Johann Erwein von Schönborn (1654–1705) or Lothar Franz von Schönborn (1655–1729) (see A. Pollmer-Schmidt, Deutsche Gemälde im Städel-Museum, 1550–1725, Frankfurt/Main 2021, p. 72, pl. 188/189). Pollmer-Schmidt related these portraits to Ary de Vois (Utrecht circa 1632–1680 Leiden).
