1976 Triumph Spitfire 1500

1976 Triumph Spitfire 1500
 - Historická motorová vozidla

German delivery and recently overhauled

For 1970, Giovanni Michelotti vigorously renovated the Spitfire once again. The front was flatter and the rear had the typical dovetail. The technology was also refined. In 1974, the little convertible was 1500 and simultaneously the least expensive full convertible on the market. When it was discontinued in 1980, the Spitfire truly left a gap on the market.

This Spitfire was registered on May 5, 1976, by a lady in Stuttgart. It was not until 1992 that the Spitfire got its second owner. In September 2002, a third owner followed, who registered it as a classic car. The consignor acquired the roadster in December 2007 with only 103,000 km. As an expert, he deliberately bought a car in a sound state with no history of accidents, and which showed optic traces from throughout the years. In 2008, he disassembled the Spitfire to a large extent, renovated the body and painted the Triumph in its original Inca yellow. He then put it back together with cleaned, tested and intact parts. It has been shining again in its current luster and has enjoyed various trips since 2010. Photos confirm the work that was done. The car also comes with an original hardtop, as well as user manual and various old documents.
