Life Ball 2015 – Gold
WHEN MARINA ABRAMOVIC, world-wide renowned artist, interpreted the illy art collection, she used gold, a precious metal able to contain a precious beverage: coffee. The hole on the side had an incredible function: while drinking, the coffee coming out of it would reach the spirit. This is how “spirit-cup” was born.
Marina re-interpreted the way of drinking according to her very unique visual language. What a combination with Life Ball 2015 moto: „Aufbruch und Überwindung von Althergebrachtem“.
Marina donates this year a piece of her personal collection: a self-portrait combined with the illy art cup in which she immortalized her action.
