Southwest Caucasus, c. 150 x 115 cm, 19th century. An excellent specimen from the village of Fachraly, located in the heart of Christian Armenia. The overall effect is dominated by the emerald green field with a classic ‘Fachralo medallion’. The white interior cartouche features massive kochanaks. The border with serrated leaves is especially simple and abstract. With a few professional repairs and original edges, in good condition. (VP)
