France 18th century, attributed to P. Roussel (1723 – 1782), oak structure with bombé shaping on all sides, on gently curved legs, with exquisite tulipwood cross joint veneer and amaranth and rosewood marquetry bands, 2 drawers with crossbanded front, in so-called ‘sans traverse’ execution, moulded marble top, ornamented with fire-gilt bronze mounts, c. 85 x 95 x 56 cm, well-kept condition.
