A curved dagger, also known as ‘jambiya’, with a slightly bent double-edged blade with a middle ridge on both sides. The hilt is made of rhinoceros horn. The wooden sheath is greatly curved at the bottom and is covered in leather that has been dyed a reddish brown. In addition, the hilt and sheath feature finely crafted metal decoration in silver alloy and copper, as well as stitched black leather bands.
Length: c. 34 cm (dagger in sheath). First third of the 20th century. (ME) ASA
