for the Czernin apartment, manufactured by Portois & Fix, Vienna, 1930/32, polished solid Macassar ebony, upholstered, original textile covering, height 90 cm, width 77 cm, depth 95 cm. (DRAX)
Custom-made for the apartment of Margarethe Czernin, which was completely furnished by Otto Prutscher. Documented in the form of nine original contemporary photographs (23 x 17 cm and 17 x 23 cm) and two gouache studies for the interior decoration.
Provenance: apartment of Margarethe Czernin, No. 10 Dannebergplatz, 1030 Vienna, until 1998 – private ownership, Vienna.
