Presented and judged at the “Zweite Preisausschreibung für kunstgewerbliche Entwürfe aus dem Hoftiteltaxfonds”, a decorative arts competition organised by the Austrian Museum of Art and Industry in January 1902.

Provenance: villa of a family of industrialists in Vienna/Hinterbrühl, one-time private ownership
